Carnelian Bay

Carnelian Bay lies on the northwest shore of Lake Tahoe, and features some of the most open views of the Lake from the road. Many beautiful homes sit along the Lake in this area, as well as across the street and up into the hillside. A big attraction to Carnelian Bay is Garwoods Restaurant, which has its own pier, and some amazing Lake Views. Every summer, the vast array of wooden boats can be seen at the Sierra Boat Company (next door to Garwoods), recreating the Old Tahoe atmosphere.
