Kings Beach / Tahoe Vista
August 20, 2008
Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista are some of the last sections of Lake Tahoe to be developed. The sunny location, proximity to 267, Northstar and ease of access to I-80, as well as closeness to the Nevada state line and legal gambling make this an attractive place to vacation.
Kings Beach sits at the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, just to the west of the Nevada border. This established community features lovely beaches with shallow shores which allow you to walk out quite far and enjoy the somewhat warmer water. There are always plenty of activities on the beach in the summer time, including parasailing and even surfing sometimes! The Kings Beach neighborhood sprawls back and up, giving some homesites incredible views of the Lake. Buyers searching for Condominiums/Townhomes near Kings Beach should definitively look at Kingswood Village on the left side of Hwy 267 when approaching the outskirts of Kings Beach coming from Truckee.
Tahoe Vista lies further west from Kings Beach and also has some nice beaches. Plenty of restaurants and hotels line the shoreline in this area, with the more developed communities on the mountain side of the road. Both of these areas feature a mix of old Tahoe cabins and newer homes as well.
